Five for Friday {June 19}

Happy Friday! Don't yell at me but I seriously had to check my phone to see what the date was...because I had no idea! :D

 I started making long-range plans for next year. I haven't had to do this in awhile because I have had 4th grade so much and know it well. With the switch to 3rd, I don't know the curriculum that well. Fortunately we have curriculum maps and whatnot so I was able to begin a general outline. This is the first four weeks of school. Of course this is subject to change. (I got this template and idea here.)

I have spent way more time than I care to admit playing on Sims 3. It's been an incredibly s-l-o-w week in my graduate class so why not?? :)
I wrote this incredibly long, incredibly important Connection Paper. It's so darn important that if you don't pass it, you don't move on in the doctoral program. No pressure or anything!! I turned mine in two days early and am d-y-i-n-g to know my score. Seriously, I'm an impatient person by nature...this is driving me batty!

I did some work in my Erin Condren Teacher Planner this week!

 Each month of the calendar has this notes pages before the calendar cover page...and I split each page (except August) into sections with Washi Tape. Top left says "Pins", top right says "Projects" and a spot for monthly reflections on the bottom. I saw the reflections part on a video and thought it was a good idea.
I stole this hack from Stephanie at 3rdGradeThoughts to use different colored Washi tape to mark off your different grading periods. I went through my whole book and did this for all four marking periods :) (Yes, a little covers the "W" in Wednesday on this page but whatever...)
Plus, seriously how fabulous are those Washi tapes??? Unfortunately you can't purchase them because I got them at the Thirty-One Conference last July and they aren't available to the public. Bummer because they are purple and fabulous!
Finally, I created a GoFundMe to help me get to two very fabulous out-of-state conferences this year. The Husband is balking at the cost (due to flights and hotels) but seriously these conferences will be ah-mazing and I want to go. (Definitely going to the Teacher Powered Schools one, no matter what!). I posted about them on my Twitter account and have had 6 different fundraising groups follow me and offer to get me the funds I cool is that? Whether or not it works is another story but still. :)
