Well there was an amazing turn of events yesterday. On a whim, I applied for a position that would be the most perfectly amazing job opportunity EVER. It's a one-year position. I figured it was a very, very long shot but I completed my application, philosophy of education and cover letter yesterday and emailed them in at 3 p.m. Within an hour, I had an email back asking for clarification on one thing. I thought that meant for sure that I was out.

Imagine my utter shock when at 7:30 last night, I got a phone call about interviewing for that position! I about died. I have a phone interview on Wednesday afternoon. If that goes well and I make it to the next round, that would be some time next week.

I'm kind of in shock that I got a call at all because while I think the position is perfect for me (and that I'm perfect for it), my luck with applying for other jobs isn't very good. I don't want to say too much about the position because I don't want it made too "public" yet but trust me, if good things happen, I will let you know.

Cross your fingers for me! This would be an AMAZING opportunity! (Best of all I wouldn't have to quit my current position because I could take a "career exploration" leave of absence and not lose my steps or anything when I came back to my position.)
